Forfatter er Michele Toassani - som blant annet utga Modulo 4-2-3-1 og senere Analisi Tattica Champions League 2002 – 2003 books, begge publisert i Italia. Bra bok.

Champions League Tactics gives you an in-depth look at the methods, tactics and systems of play from the best known coaches and clubs in the world. The book begins with a overview of the characteristics and tendencies of the nations that have had the most success in the Champions League in the last few decades. It then describes how the teams employ specific tactics and the roles and responsibilities of each position within various systems of play. The majority of the book focuses on how the coaches of the most prominent teams organize their team to achieve the best results.

Some of the most prominent countries are discussed in detail with a focus on the methods, tactics and style of play that makes each team successful. Some of the teams profiled are Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal from England, Villareal and Real Madrid from Spain, Bayern Munich from Germany, as well as Marseille from France.
